We require payment in full to secure a booking. We're currently working on payment plans which will be available soon.

The studios are open for bookings from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday (strictly by appointment only). Get in touch for more info, we do our best to answer emails and texts ASAP, 24/7.

Studio Hire We require payment up front to book the studio. If you cancel more than 48 hours before the start of the booking you will receive a full refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the start of the booking you will receive a 50% refund. We do not issue refunds for cancellations within 24 hours of the booking. Bookings start at the time of the reservation. If you arrive late and need to extend your booking past the scheduled end time, that will count as overtime.

Any deliveries or pick-ups before or after the booking must be pre-arranged with the studio. We try our best to accommodate deliveries and pickups but we cannot 100% guarantee that these can be accommodated. There is a $25 fee for every evening your items are being held in our studios. For example, if you have items delivered the day before your booking, and picked up the day after, the resulting fee for the storage would be $50.

Overtime hours are billed at $75 per hour as the original booking. You may extend into overtime if needed as long as it does not conflict with a booking after yours. Please note that we close at 8pm, so you may also not extend past that time. You must be COMPLETELY wrapped by the end of your booking to avoid overtime hours being billed. If you are still shooting and/or wrapping up when your booking ends, this will count as overtime.

Please respect the space, the studios must be left the way you found it. All equipment must be organized neatly, with your rubbish in the bins. If the studio requires significant cleaning after your booking, a cleaning fee of $100 will be added. The use of glitter on studio grounds is prohibited. A cleaning fee will automatically be applied if glitter is used.

DO NOT use the rear warehouse as an extension of the studio. Filming and shooting is only permitted within the studio spaces. Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere within the building. Drug use is strictly prohibited. Please do not drag any furniture or heavy objects on the cyclorama. Please ask if you need assistance moving anything.

The client hereby accepts full responsibility for the replacement costs of any damages or loss incurred during their time at Subterra Studio. Subterra Studio is not responsible for any left or lost items in the studio.

Subterra Studio reserves the right to cancel and remove an existing booking at any point, before or during a shoot, if deemed appropriate for any reason whatsoever.

Subterra Studio shall not be responsible or liable to Client, or any person claiming, by, through, or under Client, for any loss or damage to any property or business in the premises. Subterra Studio shall not be responsible for any accident or injury, including death, to any of Client’s employees, agents or invitees in or about the Demised Premises. Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Subterra Studio its officers, directors, partners, employees, and agents of the Demised Premises or any portion thereof, from and against any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses, including attorneys’ fees.

We require at least 2 weeks notice for special orders, and may be subject to availability and additional costs. Any paper that is reserved for your booking will go back into our inventory of available paper after your booking ends.

We are open for bookings from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday (strictly by appointment only). We can be open for bookings earlier and later than those times only with prior approval. Please contact us if you wish to book the studio outside or normal business hours.

You may bring whatever equipment you would like into the studio... even rented equipment from other studios and rental houses. We do not charge for any outside equipment brought to Subterra Studio. We'll even arrange to assist with rental equipment drop off and pick up at no additional charge.

We do not offer booking durations shorter than 3 hours.

There is free street parking in the neighborhood. Please arrive early to allow time to find parking. We do not have private parking available.

Train: Subterra Studio is only a 15min walk away from Tottenham Station (Sunbury line). Bus: Subterra Studio is only a 15min walk away from the 903 Essendon-Mordialloc bus stop at First Ave/Market Rd (Sunshine).
